Grand Designs Live. Under the Stairs Project

The brief - To produce creative, imaginative and alternative conceptual ideas and execution to cleverly transform the use of the under the stairs space.

About the Exhibition.

A total of eight finalists including myself have been selected and given the amazing opportunity to feature our own sets for the duration of the exhibition 4-12 May at London ExCel. Building and bringing our concepts to life by sourcing and dressing our sets via supplier products which are available to the UK market, providing the consumer with an array of options to inspire their personal home projects. This alongside an amazing list of exhibitors featuring at the exhibition with live stage presentations from the industry experts including the Grand Designers and Kevin McCloud.

My Concept - Industrial Developers Room

I submitted a variety of conceptual design ideas. The selected to be featured in the final is below. The developers room is an alternatively inspiring idea in utilising the under the stairs space. Inspired by my love of picture taking, exterior buildings with natural weathered finishes, distress and texture such as concrete, stone and gorgeous marble. With industrial influences via elements of metal. The idea being to help inspire the consumer, stimulate ideas and adapt to their chosen work function.
